i get drunk and make bad choices

I have been trying to think about what has been going on in my life to update and fill everyone in that reads this, but instead I think the title of this post pretty much sums up my life right now.

dilemma

So I do want to read the Steve Harvey book but I just am not sure about it being on the book club because I figured I would just buy it all Wal-Mart but it isn't even there. Its at Barnes and Noble but it isn't cheap, and I haven't been able to find it at the local libraries.... so now I am rethinking my pick. If you all have started reading it I will go buy it (because I eventually want to read it anyway). But if you haven't started I'm assuming you guys can't find a cheap copy either. Let me know what we should do!!

too much pressure

So Jamie informed me that I am in charge of picking the first book for our book club... FINE! even though I think it is a lot of pressure because I feel like I am not on the same caliber of my books as the rest of you. I admit that I read really lame books because lets be honest... I AM lame. So if I have to pick the first book, someone else has to be in charge of naming our book club.

Here is a quick update on my spring break. Yesterday I got extremely intoxicated for St. Patrick's Day and drank green beer. Needless to say, I definitely am feeling hungover today. I am realizing lately that I am getting old because my body can't recover from a night of drinking like it used to be able to. I was a complete moron yesterday. I kept ordering shots of Rumpleminze last night and luckily my bartender just kept giving me shots of water, because I definitely needed that water way more than I needed anymore liquor.

So my first book choice is Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man by Steve Harvey. You all may be opposed to this book because 1) I'm pretty sure that I have heard JamFla complain about not liking He's Just Not That Into You 2) It really isn't going to be a deep book or anything like that but A) I want to read it because I heard it is funny and B) I need a good reality check on my nonexistent love life and I think this might help. Next time I will pick a better book I promise!

in regards to KT's recent post

So I just read KT's post about how she has been looking for some type of book club or something. So I have an idea that I turned down because I didn't know if I knew 6 people that would actually do it. But I don't think it's too late to join. My mom got a book chain letter type thing. You only have to send one of your books that you own (and of course you enjoyed) to one person, the chain letter thing works as they always have. You must then send the letter to 6 people you know that will also be willing to send one book to the person on the list. In the end it turns out you get 36 books for the price of sending one of yours.

I figured even if you don't want to give up any of your books, than you could buy a cheap copy at a used bookstore or at Wal-Mart and send that and in return receive 36 books that will probably be pretty decent if other people happened to like them. If any of you are interested let me know asap so I can let my mom know. Because I won't be able to do it if I can't find 6 people that I think will keep their end of the bargain.
